A Bunch of Skirts

That's all I can call liberals in this country anymore. A bunch of skirts. I am so angry it is making my blood pressure go through the roof.

Is there nothing in this world that ever makes a liberal want to defend his country and stand up for our citizens and our leaders?

Is there anything a liberal would fight for (besides abortion, needle programs, the right of criminals and America's enemies, etc)?

Is there nothing exceptional about being American to a liberal?

Has the United States been nothing but a force for evil in this world?

Do they really believe George W. Bush is worse than Hitler or Saddam?

Do they really believe that rights granted to U.S. citizens under the Constitution apply to terrorists, murderers, and crackpot dictators around the world even though nothing in their way of life indicates an adherence to said Constitution? That those rights apply to the very same people who wish to destroy the way of life that we the people enjoy (at least conservatives enjoy it) and that which the Constitution governs?

Hugo Chavez, the tinhorn dictator of Venezuela, comes into our house and insults our President and calls him the devil and there is absolutely no outrage from the left save a comment from Congressman Charles Rangel, in whose district Chavez was speaking. I am sure that Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and Democratic National Committe leader Howard Dean were privately cheering Chavez for taking our President down a peg and embarrassing him around the world. After all they do it all the time.

You know we may have our disagreements in this country, and I know Republicans can make an awful mess of things and be deserving of criticism. And Lord knows the Democrats will say the most hateful, disrespectful things about our President and have it beamed via satellite and Internet all over the world without a care for how it influences the opinions of America in other countries - but no one from the outside should be able to come into our house and feel free to do the same. Period.

Of course we shouldn't be surprised that it has come to this. The Democrats have shown not a single iota of respect for the President - because he comes from the opposition party and they believe embarrassing him will help them regain the White House. Democrat or Republican, the President of the United States is the leader of the free world and of the best and most powerful nation on the planet and the position alone should demand respect. Though liberals refuse to acknowledge it, America is a nation that has promoted liberty and freedom throughout its history and it has spilled a lot of its own blood and spent a great deal of its treasure in its attempts to bring freedom to others (as we are trying to do in Iraq). But since today's liberals are ignorant of this nation's history they do not know of the good we as a beacon of freedom have brought to the world. They cannot see the whole picture and have no understanding of what America has been about. They have learned about all of the mistakes our country has made in its history because those children of the '60's, who are now the supposed adults, make up a majority of those who teach in our schools and universities. They are still America-haters, distrusting of government and revolting against any and all authority. They have been only too happy to point out the blemishes in American History, label us as evil, and distort America's value to the world. How else can you explain almost a third of this country actually believing that the government was involved in bringing down the World Trade Center in order to justify it's war for oil, the past elections have been stolen, that the levees in New Orleans were blown up by the government to drown the poor black people?

Politics used to stop at the water's edge but no longer. Liberals hate America because they have no understanding of it in its entirety. I wonder why they don't just leave and go to France or the European Union since they like the way they live over there so much. There is no longer a united American attitude where we are all in this together and we had each others back against any outsiders - no matter our disagreements. I look at it this way: when I was a kid my father could be a real jerk and I certainly had my share of disagreements with him and his actions. However nobody but nobody had better come into my house and badmouth my father. The fight would have been on. Period.

The underlying problem is that liberals have no guts and they refuse to differentiate between good and evil, right and wrong, Americans and other people. They see a moral equivalence between George Bush, Saddam Hussein, and al-Qaeda. They refuse to judge anyone unfavorably except for Bush and conservative religious people. Everyone else: murderers, rapists, dictators, communists, Muslims, drug addicts, gangbangers, etc. get a pass from them. You know with them it's all about the root causes that make people act so badly. It's always someone else's fault. The root causes of all of the world's problems no doubt, have been brought on by the policies of the United States of America and its President. Apparently all of these problems have been brought on during the last six years when Bush has been president too. Liberals act as if George W. Bush is all-powerful and controls the world from his desk. The great contradiction in all of this liberal blather of course is that while George Bush is and will always be a complete idiot, undeserving of his position, he's smart enough to cause death and starvation in other countries, control the weather, and foresee the future all while pulling the wool over the eyes of everyone in the world.

A few examples of liberal attitudes coming out of this Hugo Chavez / Mahmoud Ahmadinejad furor have really enraged me:

Yesterday I am watching Hannity & Colmes and that liberal pansy Alan Colmes, who never met an enemy of the United States he couldn't defend and/or blame Bush for, while discussing the boycott of Citgo being bandied about by true Americans who are angry at Chavez's comments about our President, says that perhaps liberals should organize a "buycott" of Citgo. Apparently to him Citgo, owned by the Venezuelan government, should actually be rewarded for their president's comments attacking Bush with more petrodollars from those who hate Bush.

These liberals hate Bush so much that they will allow anyone to say or do anything to him (and us) despite the damage it does to the country as a whole. In fact because that slime Chavez disparaged Bush liberals think that he should actually be rewarded. They're all cheering him for doing so. They disgust me. Can anyone understand what goes on in the liberal mind? There is no United in their way of thinking. It's as if they think that if bad things happen to Bush it only happens to him alone and the rest of the country is untouched and does not suffer at all. It's like they think that when the Islamofacists come to America to wreak their havoc they'll only kill conservatives. Liberals are apparently too dense to understand it is all of their social policies and attitudes that have convinced the Islamofacists that we are irreligious and blasphemous and that we need to be converted or killed. They see the West as decadent and with the devil. Don't lefties see that if a terrorist was told he could only kill some of us and he had to choose which ones to kill that he would  choose to kill the gay, lesbian, transgendered, pornographic film distributing, drug using, antireligious, abortion loving liberals first? Maybe if liberals hadn't destroyed the public school system they would be better at critical thinking and they might know a thing or two about history rather than, as Ann Coulter says, waking up to a new day everyday as if what had happened yesterday had never happened. That's why they always want to try the same policies over and over - no matter how many times they have failed.

Later last night I am listening to the Mike Gallagher show and they are discussing the Chavez thing. This liberal girlie-man calls in and says that Bush deserves these insults because after all Bush uses childish terms like "axis of evil", "evildoers", and "good vs. evil". Liberals are always so smart, so superior, and so above the fray aren't they? This liberal said that there Bush is too childish to understand that there are no evil people in the world only misguided ones. Talk about childish! Liberals live in their own little fantasy world and they cannot even admit that there is evil in the world. It's all about root causes don't you know? When pressed by the host this guy could not even agree that Hitler was evil. Adolph Hitler - the man responsible for the agonizing deaths of six million Jews and millions of others. I suppose they'll be blaming Hitler on Bush soon. If you can't even gin up the nerve to call Hitler evil you are out of your mind.

And last, the thing that really set me off and caused me to start banging out this column on my keyboard was this: Yesterday I forwarded via email a call for a Citgo boycott around to those on my email list that might be interested. I think that people should understand that Citgo is owned by the Venezuelans and that Americans should think twice before pouring our petrodollars into their coffers when we have so many other options. A valid consideration for someone who actually loves their country and defends its right to have internal squabbles yet feels that foreigners should be excluded from commenting on our business - especially when they speak of our leaders in a disrespectful manner. And before my liberal friends start getting all emotional and stamping their feet and sobbing uncontrollably - they should understand that I am no Bush robot. I have disagreed with many of his policies and actions. However I hated Bill Clinton for what he did to embarrass this country while in office, but I would never have stood for a Chavez making those comments about him either.

But my liberal brother, upon receipt of said email, cuts and pastes the First Amendment out of the Constitution and sends it to me telling me that even idiots have rights! Why do liberals insist on applying rights granted to Americans in the U.S. Constitution to foreigners who have no intention of ever living by those rights nor applying them to the people they govern and oppress? I mean this really drives me crazy! Why should "enemy combatants" - those who try to kill Americans by any means and would love to overthrow our government, have the same rights as common criminals? Don't you have to live by the Constitution to have it apply to you? Is there no price to pay for being treated in that manner? Can you murder innocents people with roadside bombs and plot to kill more but still be treated as if you were civilized? Do liberals really see an equivalence between average Americans and terrorists? Do they really believe that terrorists are the moral equivalents to the Minutemen of our American Revolution? What planet are these people from anyway?

A little lesson for liberals when indignantly applying the First Amendment: just because you have the right to say what you want doesn't exclude you from having to hear an unfavorable response. People in opposition to your asinine statements have the right to say what they want back to you or react to your idiocy in any fashion they wish -provided it's legal and does not include violence. Liberals always site the First Amendment when they spew anti-American bile but whine like crazy when the same right is exercised in a rebuttal.

And in one of their biggest hypocrisies: liberals always like to cite foreign law when it suits their purpose to override U.S. law and demonstrate the error of our ways, how is it that now they want to cite U.S. Constitutional law to cover monsters and murderers? Answer: because it suits their agenda and promotes their anti-American attitudes!

I am tired of having this same argument over and over with liberals. No, America has not always been right in everything it does however we have always tried to promote freedom and liberty around the world. All of our decisions are based on that. This has been true under both Democrat and Republican administrations. We are all Americans and we must stay united. A house divided cannot stand. I believe that is the true goal of the Left in this country now. They constantly talk about the neocons plan for a one world order but it is the Left that wishes to blur the lines between individual national sovereignty, remove borders, and eliminate patriotism. They cannot see any difference between the greatest nation on the planet and an Iran or Venezuela. I feel sorry for them. All they want to do is tear down everything we have done throughout our history. It is as if they have deathwish. We must never let them win.

Win Or Lose Folks?

How in the world are we ever going to win this War on Terror, this supposed clash of civilizations?

First, we have a number of weak, whiny Senators running around trying to extend Geneva Conventions protections (and more) to the terrorist savages captured on the battlefield who have no interest in following those same Conventions and violate them on a regular basis when dealing with Coalition or civilian prisoners themselves.

Led by Senator John McCain (followed by the obligatory: himself a POW in the Vietnam War), Senator Lindsey Graham (a former military judge who should know better), and Senator John Warner of Virginia (who knows what his deal is?), there is a movement in the Senate to make sure the terrorist “detainees” are treated nicely, much better then our military men and women would be treated were they to be captured by the enemy.

All of this vacillating about “torture” is driving me crazy. Forget for a moment that I would be all for torturing these detainees (you know bamboo under their nails, water-boarding, electric shock, etc); I understand that America is above all of that and we have to project a certain image of fairness and restraint. However the things the President wants to be able to do to prisoners to coerce them to provide information about upcoming plots: temperature variations (continually hot or cold rooms), prolonged standing, loud music, sleep deprivation, and stomach slapping do not sound like to torture to me and I think you can certainly throw water-boarding in there as well. Certainly not torture when compared with beheadings. The idea is to get information from these would-be American killers and save American lives – have our Senators lost their minds? Have the American people who are against this lost their minds?

And while I can’t speak to Senator Warner’s motivation in all of this, it is apparent that once again Mr. Graham has taken another opportunity to grandstand to get some face time and Mr. McCain is suffering from the effects of his long stay at the Hanoi Hilton. I mean Senator McCain no disrespect, in fact he has always had my respect despite his sometimes loony positions and his innate ability to embarrass his own party, but does anyone else see the slightest hint of a flashback to his Vietnam POW days as being the motivation for him in this matter? I am certain that he never wants anyone to experience what he did while held in captivity, but a little perspective is in order here.

To have McCain go around telling people that by us following President Bush’s desires in this matter we will incite the enemy to behave badly and that they will fail to follow the Geneva Conventions is simply ludicrous. First of all the Conventions are unclear as to the definitions of torture, second - they only apply to those nations who are signatories of the treaty, and third - the enemy has never before nor do they ever plan to follow those conventions. Any man on the street can tell you that – get a clue Senators. I believe beheadings and dragging burning corpses around in the streets pretty much eliminates the possibility of them following the Conventions Senator McCain.

The proverbial “Arab street” must be doubled over with laughter these days listening to this baloney. It’s outrageous to think that we would keep our intelligence people from getting the information we need to save Americans that we would not electronically eavesdrop on phone calls into the United States from suspected terrorists, that we would not track financial transactions of suspected terrorists, and that we would not profile in our airports and train or bus stations. Enough is enough of this politically correct nonsense. We cannot be this stupid – can we?

Then we have the Supreme Court dictating to the President, whose power as Commander-in-Chief and his responsibility to defend the country are clearly enumerated in the U.S. Constitution, as to how he can handle the trials of “enemy combatants”. This after Congress specifically excluded such cases from being heard by the Court in previous legislation, legislation that clearly falls under their enumerated powers in the Constitution as well. This judicial overreach and how the Executive and the Legislative branches are both in a tizzy about it would be amusing if it wasn’t so sad.

In 1831 when the Supreme Court decided the Cherokee Nation v. Georgia in opposition to the position of President Andrew Jackson, based on his differing opinion as to whether the Court even had jurisdiction in the matter, President Jackson said, and I paraphrase: “he (the Chief Justice) has made his decision, now let us see him enforce it.” He then ignored the order.

Now that is not the way I would like the current President or any President to act very often, since this is not a monarchy, however I would like to see President Bush take a similar position in this matter. The Court has imposed itself into an area that is not it’s to decide - and they have been doing so consistently for 40 years. It is time that a stand is taken. It is not within the Court’s enumerated powers to make law nor to set foreign policy. Where the Constitution is silent on an issue the Court must refer the issue back to either the Executive or the Legislative branch depending on their respective enumerated responsibilities to clear the matter up through legislation or executive order. The Constitution is clearly silent on the treatment of “enemy combatants” but clearly enumerates the power of the Commander-in-Chief and the defense of the nation to the President. Yet the Court continues to assume powers that are not enumerated to them and everyone just accepts their decisions as the final word on every issue. To do so demonstrates a lack of a clear understanding of the U.S. Constitution (not surprising since our schools don’t teach it).

What has happened to my country? This is now the country where we are so afraid to offend someone’s sensibilities that we would rather allow terrorists to kill a large number of us rather than be considered insensitive. We have reporters who admit if they were watching terrorists setting a trap for American soldiers that they would not warn our troops in advance saying it is their job to report the news not be a part of it. Why do so many Americans hate their own country and take for granted everything they have? Why do so many Americans think it is a bad thing to root for your country to win and for your fellow countrymen to live?

The final questions are: how long will we sit idly by, screwing around with stuff like this, wringing our hands and wanting the world to love us as the Islamofacists plot our death and destruction while we act like perfect gentlemen? When will we finally come to the conclusion that we are in a fight for our very lives and that of all free people on this Earth before one of our major cities are wiped out by a nuclear blast?

I am afraid to say I think we will be sitting around still debating whether we are really at war and whether we should even use the full power of our military for a long, long  time.  I also feel that by the time we come to the conclusion that we are in a war and that we were wrong about how to deal with Islamic terror it may be too late. Our leaders on both sides of the aisle no longer have the guts to stand up and fight for the United States of America and what she stands for. I beleive that “We the People” are now just the sheeple like they were in New Orleans - standing around waiting for the government to save their bacon. We the People are so far removed from war that we can’t even gin up the courage to state in a definitive and united fashion that we are at war anymore. We are still arguing that, always looking back and not looking forward. How sad.

There are only two possible outcomes in war: either you win – or you lose. I am no longer sure which side of this war our country will end up on. It's not a good thing when only one side is fighting 100% while the other is not even really in the game. I hate when our media or our leaders use the word “frightened”. It is so womanly to me and I like American men to act like men. However I will say that while I am not frightened about all of this I am indeed worried. It is time for men to be men and for us to fight for what we stand for and not be afraid to do so. The alternative is to die without a whimper or in this case with lots of whimpering. Let’s not do that – it’s embarrassing.

It’s like I tell my kids when they moan and groan about my edicts: “I waited a long time to be in charge and by God; I’m going to be in charge!” Well I want our leaders to say that "the United States has worked long and hard to be the most powerful nation on Earth and by God, we’re going to be the most powerful nation on Earth – and we're gonna kick your butt". What’s the point of being so powerful if you’re not going to use it to protect yourself?

See Ya!

We are nuts!

That’s all I can say. Not only do we spend our time fighting over whether there should be any rights for terrorist prisoners – we fight over how many of the same rights American servicemen and citizens have that we should apply to terrorists as well. As if we are holding them for parking tickets or something. And this movement is led by a Senator who himself had been subjected to the type of torture prohibited by the Geneva Conventions. Totally ignoring the obvious fact that the enemies of America never follow those prohibitions, John McCain fights to be sure that enemy combatants ever have to suffer. Does anyone else see the irony in this? Perhaps a little projection of some issues relating to the Senator's experiences?

Also on top of that not only do we allow this Khatami guy, the former President of Iran into the country to spew his particular brand of Islamic hatred in lectures around the country, we also intend to allow the current President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – who by the way advocates the destruction of the U.S. and Israel while denying the Holocaust ever took place, all while trying to develop the nuke to carry his dreams out with, into the country too. Now I learn that we, the U.S.,  are now going to allow 15,000 Saudi students into this country to attend our universities. Hard to believe? Go here to see:

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NzI3MTAzMmI0ZTUyODI2NTcyYzNmN2M0NjU4NTg4MDg=

It is all getting to be too much for me. How in the world can we allow 15,000 Saudi students into this country freely when it was 19 Saudis who took down the WTC and it is Saudis who have been involved in terrorist acts since Day 1? Osama bin Laden is the world’s tallest Saudi – doesn’t that give us a clue at all? It wasn’t that long ago that we wanted to turn control of some of our major ports to the United Arab Emirates. We refuse to secure our borders and expel illegals. To top it off we will not profile at airports even though those who wish to kill us all fit the same profile. We even hate killing terrorists without doing so "proportionately". What is wrong with us?

If I wasn’t sure before I am sure now that the leaders of our country and a significant portion of its population have a death wish. There is no where to run if we can’t be safe here. I fear my children and their children are doomed. We are so naïve and so stupid that we cannot see the wall in front of us that we speed towards. There is going to be a big splat soon and the next sound you hear will be that of America whimpering while it is being destroyed by Islamofacists.

Will we ever shake the specter of political correctness before we are all dead? Where are the men? Are there only 2 million warriors left in America and they are all already in the military? Why not make it easier for the citizens and simply give every American a gun so they can shoot themselves now rather than wait to fry in a nuclear storm or be made slaves of the caliphate? It’s over folks, we’re going down and we have no one to blame but ourselves and our wimpy, lazy society.

Our National Suicide

OK if anyone thinks I'm nuts and my previous comments about our sweet and kind treatment of terrorist, oh I mean "enemy conbatants" or "detainees" are especially harsh and that I am sadly mistaken about it, just read this article to learn how our military coddles those who try to kill them and us. This politically correct way of doing things is gonna get us all killed someday. And this is with Republicans in charge. God help us if the Democrats ever get in power. Go here to get ill: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/a_deadly_kindness_opedcolumnists_richard_miniter.htm

A Few Thoughts

I just have to say this because it's eating at me and I don't know why 100% of my fellow Americans can't see this:

1. Why in the world does anyone care whether we are torturing terrorists or not? These animals make movies of beheadings and they indiscriminately kill and maim innocent civilians. I am in complete agreement with adherence to the Geneva Conventions when dealing with another nation's army that respects those policies as well, but when it comes to these guys I say torture the stuffing out of them if it will reveal more of their deadly plots. If they knew they could expect to be treated that way they might (I said might) reconsider what they are doing. This is war people.

2. How is it being forced to sit in a cold or hot room listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers blaring away is considered torture when I have to do that frequently sitting at a red light downtown in the middle of July? It appears to me that anything we do to coerce these scumbags to talk is going to be considered torture by the weak pantywaist left. We have more libs and politicians concerned about terrorist rights then we do about the right of our children, and our children's children, to live on in peace. This is war people.

3. Why don't we start throwing around some more of our military might? Why don't we just tell the mullahs in Iran that they day they explode a nuke or even point a missile at us or one of our allies they are toast? Why are we so proper? Why are we such scaredy-cats? There should be a benefit to being the most powerful and richest nation in the world. That benefit should be that if anyone screws with us we wipe them out. Is that too much for my namby-pamby liberal friends? If terrorists knew this would happen to them instead of believing we're paper tigers we wouldn't have so many problems right now. This is war people.

4. If I hear one more liberal clown say that 9/11 is the fault of both administrations I think I'll just throw up. One President - Bill "the Knob" Clinton spent eight years failing to retaliate to the attacks on our people and assets, leading the Islamowhackjobs to believe we were weak, and Bush spent his first eight months getting acclimated in his position and trying to set up his administration. C'mon give me a break. If Clinton thought he'd done such a great job why then is breaking ABC's you know whats over their miniseries? It's because as always he is truth challenged folks. And to count on the findings of the 9/11 commission, that political circus that actually had the person who set up the wall between the CIA and FBI as a member - failing to recuse herself and actually partaking in this exercise with a straight face as if anyone could take her seriously, and expect it, in this day and age, to come up with a straight, bipartisan accounting of what happened is naive. I can see for myself, an I hope many of my fellow citizens can as well, that Clinton simply did not have the stomach for using military force. And bin Laden knew it. That is why they grew increasingly bold until they brought down the towers. Face it libs: one president was busy getting some butt and the other is busy trying to kick it.

This is war people and if we don't start to get down and dirty and get rid of all of these gentlemanly rules we'll be finished. It reminds me of the American Revolution but we're the British. You know they walked along in formation, wearing their bright red uniforms, while the Americans hid in the bushes and picked them off. Apparently it was better for the British to be gentlemen and be fair than it was for them to win. I see history repeating itself and I don't like it. We had better wake up. This is war people. The only rules there should be is: we win - you lose!

This Is Your Brain On Democrats

They think we’re stupid”. That’s the first line in Laura Ingraham’s 2003 book “Shut Up and Sing”. It was true then and it is true now. Liberals think the majority of Americans are uneducated fools easily led around by the noses by those dastardly neo-conservatives, unable to think for themselves.

Today I present another in a long line of examples of why serious Americans just cannot allow Democrats to regain control of the Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008. They are dishonest people and they are trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Because they think you are stupid they believe they never have to be honest about their positions. While they campaign for office they spend a lot of their time trying to fool you, to make you believe they believe in God, morals, military strength, and all of the things Middle America believes in. The truth is – they don’t.

I read an article at New Republic Online on August 25th, 2006 written by Peter Beinart which clearly outlines how the Lefties in the know think (here: http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?i=20060904&s=trb090406). Beinart is clearly considered to be a Leftie in the know and he believes that Democrats should be working hard to make sure the average voter is kept in the dark about their agenda if they are be successful in the midterm elections and in the 2008 presidential election.

The thinking goes that if the centrist or moderate voter does not understand the Dems true agenda they would be more likely to vote against Republicans rather than for Democrats, while the Republican voters, quite disgusted with their own party right now, will be more likely to stay home on Election Day. Beinart starts his column like this:

A few weeks ago, congressional Democrats announced their agenda for the fall campaign. Its substance was unremarkable: raising the minimum wage, making college tuition tax-deductible, putting more money into alternative energy. But the really encouraging part was the public reception. Or should I say, the lack of public reception: Barely anyone noticed. And, for Democrats, that's very good news.

This is their winning strategy folks and they know it. If they can keep you from knowing what they really believe in they have a better chance of having you vote for them. That is because you, the average American, are too stupid to think for yourself. They know that if you do find out what their agenda is, there is no way in you know where that you’ll vote for them. Times are too serious for this type of deception and it is no time for the same old lines and same old tired, frivolous ideas. These are the true intentions of the people who want us to trust them to lead us in these difficult times. Beinart continues:

… as The Weekly Standard's Fred Barnes has reported, the White House wants to make 2006 "a choice election, not a referendum election" as well. And the more Democrats say about what they would do in office, the better that strategy will work.

You see they do not want to give the Republicans an opportunity to contrast the two different agendas for the voters because they know theirs is not the one the majority of Americans are interested in. They think you’re stupid. He goes on:

But, while it's easy to see why Republicans want Democrats to outline an agenda, why are so many Democrat-friendly pundits offering the same advice?

Beinart knows it is a bad move for Democrats to explain their agenda to you. The pundits don't know any better because they're not as bright as they think they are. They advise Democrats to do so because they incorrectly believe that the Republicans swept into power in 1994 because of their Contract with America and they want the Democrats to do the same with their current agenda. Unfortunately for the pundits and the Democrats they blatantly root for,  the real problem in 1994 was that Middle America hated the Democrat agenda and Middle America still hates their agenda today. Mr. Beinart understands this and that is why he believes that Democrats need to keep their agenda secret in order to be successful today:

The real reason for the GOP's 1994 landslide was this: Republicans expressed their anger at Bill Clinton and the Democratic Congress by voting Republican, and Democrats expressed their anger by staying home. Republicans, according to a Gallup poll taken just before the election, were 15 points more likely than Democrats to declare themselves "enthusiastic" about voting. That enthusiasm was prompted by Clinton's gun control bill, his gays-in-the-military proposal, his failed health care initiative, and the tax hike in his 1993 budget.

But, so far, the Democrats have not played along: They have kept their proposals vague, and the press has paid little attention. And, with any luck, it will stay that way in the coming months. As much as possible, Democrats should stick to vacuous slogans like "time for a change" and "had enough?"

As they have consistently done since January of 2002, Democrats would prefer to stand on the sidelines complaining, griping, criticizing, trying to embarrass the Republican President and Congress, rather than offer any plans, any ideas, and any better way to do anything. They want to make the people angry at the Republicans so they will vote against them rather than for the Democrats. This is because they think you’re stupid.

Everything with these people is calculated to get them their power back, not to improve conditions in America or actually work towards victory in the war on terror or to maintain a vibrant economy at home. They simply want to tear down everything that has been done good or not. They offer nothing to the better. They are not looking out for you.

Lord knows that President Bush and the Republican Congress have made a mess of things. As an honest conservative, I can truly say that they have ticked me off frequently with their actions and positions, but I find myself screaming at these complaining Democrats to give me a better idea, give me any idea that would be an improvement over the current situation, rather than just keep on criticizing everything, everyday. That idea never comes though.

In my deep despair over the things the Bush administration has done or has not done , I sometimes find myself feeling that if the Democrats could just make me feel like they had a better way and were actually for America first instead of just portraying America in a negative light and criticizing the President - I (gasp), I just might vote for them.

Their problem right now is that they refuse to see that we the people clearly understand the Islamic threat. We understand the war could be fought more effectively and that we are tired of Iraq and the problems therein. What they fail to realize that we the people know it is a war that must be fought and that we must win it.

They don’t seem to understand that higher taxes, a weaker defense, cutting and running, bringing in the U.N., multilateralism, better healthcare, higher minimum wages, gay marriage, and more accessible abortion does nothing to deal with the problems we face with Islamic terrorism in the world today. It is debatable as to whether they even recognize its existence at all.

They fail to realize that most of us understand that the Patriot Act, the NSA wiretapping surveillance program, the money tracing program, and detaining battlefield combatants at Guantanamo helps us to combat terrorism while they work to expose these programs and degrade our abilities to do so. They are frivolous and unserious and they demonstrate a failure to recognize reality which would be deadly to the rest of us if they were put in power.

The only reality the Democrats seem to be acutely aware of is that they had better not let you know what exactly it is they want to do with your country because you will not vote for them if they do. And in fact, with no agenda to vote against, they hope that if you are conservative you may not vote at all because of your disgust with the Republican Congress and the Bush administration. Don’t ever let them fool you with this deception. To do so will be signing your own death certificate. They are correct about the dissatisfaction we conservatives feel for the current administration – but they are only half right. We must not be disgusted enough nor be stupid enough to ever trust them to protect us again. The Clinton administration, the last Democrat administration, failed to recognize the danger of Islamic terrorism and as a result they did little or nothing to confront it, leaving us in the boat we are in now.

They will go right back into their social engineering, entitlement mode and they will ignore the problems with terrorism, the drive for nuclear weapons in the Middle East, and the threat on our very existence. They will strive to weaken our military further, abolish missile defense, and try to get Iran to play nice through talk and the ineffective U.N. They do not possess the backbone to stand and fight for America. They go on and on about withdrawal, draw downs, redeployment, or whatever they choose to call it today and yet when the Republicans challenge them to actually vote their preference on the matter, they all fold up like a cheap tent and fail to vote their consciences. All they do is hurt the country more. They are pathetic.

None of the other garbage they have in their agenda will mean anything if the Islamo-facists get the bomb and fry us all. I feel compelled to say again: I have not been thrilled with the Bush administration’s prosecution of the War on Terror and I am beginning to believe that we cannot create a democracy in the Middle East. Perhaps Bush was wrong about that. Maybe these people cannot give up their religious battles and maybe the warlords can never get along and Bush miscalculated. However it is still a noble ideal and spreading freedom has always been the American way. Attacking Iraq and taking out Saddam was the right thing to do. We must take the war to those who seek our destruction and hope to teach those who seek our death to fear us again as a deterrent.

How can that goal ever be attained while the Democrats run down the President, run down the ideal, run down the military effort, demand resignations, call our soldiers Nazis, and also do it all in such a public fashion that their attacks are beamed around the world on CNN and Al-Jazeera?

Bush took it to the Taliban in Afghanistan swiftly and decisively but now anti-terrorist military efforts are prosecuted in a half-hearted way because of all the Democratic and worldwide media criticism he receives. I think it would be more effective if we employed a whole lot more military might to crush the enemy quickly and decisively – you know: “shock and Awe”. But when half of your countrymen are trying to make you look like Attila the Hun and Adolph Hitler for fighting the terrorists at all, it is probably natural to try to exercise some restraint to try to keep them quiet. So we fight with one hand tied behind our back.

It should be apparent to anyone with a brain that if they ever regain power the Democrats will prefer to sit back, leave the defense of America to an international body, and allow us to be hit again while they talk, talk, and talk some more. And while they talk the terrorists plot, plot, and plot some more. This is a recipe for disaster if there ever was one. And that is why they don’t want you to know what they really think. They want to win even if we lose.

They think we’re stupid. We must show them they are wrong.

Are We Weak Or Just Stupid?

Today was the big day – August 22nd. Today Iran was either going to do something really extraordinary to hurt us and our allies or they were going to subject themselves to the demands of the U.N., liberals favorite worthless and powerless organization, and cease their enrichment of uranium. Neither thing happened. Once again the supporters of diplomacy, singing the praises of the international community, were made to look like idiots by the mullahs, the terror masters, their terror puppets, and of course their beloved U.N.. Once again these fools cast their lot with multilateralism on two fronts relating to the war on terror and were left wanting.

First, they pushed for a strong resolution from the U.N. that would take care of the Israel / Hezbollah situation. They expected a resolution that demanded the disarming of Hezbollah again (to back up their previously worthless resolution) and what they got was a weak, watered down, ineffective resolution that did nothing. They pushed for this resolution as it was outlined by the French in which France would take the leading role in the new and powerful peacekeeping force in Lebanon of 15,000 troops. So what happened? France backed out of the very plan it offered and will now send only 200 troops, the majority of which are to be engineers and the like, to Lebanon. Nothing against engineers but they are not likely to disarm Hezbollah. On top of that the resolution does not speak to how this new force will engage Hezbollah specifically when it fails to live up to the demands within it – and you know it will. It never pays to expect France to flex its muscle.

Second these same champions of diplomacy have continually lobbied for the acceptance of the always moving deadline for Iran to agree with the demands of the “world community” that they curtail their enrichment of uranium. An enrichment which is ostensibly for domestic electric power but in reality, as everyone knows, is for the development of nuclear weapons. Today was the day the Iranians were to finally agree and bow to world pressure, so what did they do? They spit in the face of the “world” and declared they had no intention of halting their program. What a big surprise.

The question now is what do we do? Our president has been effectively neutered by the media and negative world opinion. Someone needs to stand up and be a man here and accept the fact that once again it falls to the United States to stop the mullahs.

The problem is that with the situation in Iraq being as it is no one wants to do anything. So it is becoming more and more apparent that we will just stand around and wait for Iran to get the bomb and use it on us and on Israel. That’s it folks – get ready. As a country we have spent so much time screwing around with the Bush lied crap and the mistakes were made stuff that we are now rendered impotent. And we have done it to ourselves.

We have spent so much time worrying about what the world thinks about us, about minimizing casualties (theirs not ours), about not appearing too forceful, and by allowing these militias to thrive rather than us smashing them, we have now demonstrated our total weakness and inability to adequately defend ourselves. We sit upon the greatest and most powerful military might in this world and we are afraid to use it.

Rather than smash Moqtada al-Sadr in Fallujah when he threatened to disrupt the whole Iraq program, we allowed him to survive because we didn’t want to appear heavy-handed. Now he is a major thorn in the process there.

Rather than allow Israel to destroy Hezbollah we inexplicably went to the U.N. and helped broker a deal that only served to embarrass the Israelis and save Hezbollah. What is wrong with us anyway? We know the terrorists need to be destroyed but we stop our one ally in the Middle East from doing what they need to do to save themselves.

Ladies and Gentlemen: I have serious reservations about the survival of the United States of America right now. Our fellow members on the Security Council don’t give a hoot about us and the French will only be concerned about the U.S. after we have been destroyed and no longer exist to save their sorry butts. It is time to start doing for ourselves again. The namby-pambies that are whining about our unilateral actions need to sit down and shut up.

There is no other nation on the Earth that can go into Iran and take out parts of the nuclear program. Period. Few others have the capability and none of them have the will. It is time for some real “shock and awe”. Give them a fireworks show unlike any that has ever been seen in Iran. I know there will be collateral damage and you know what? Dare I say it? I don’t care. Forgive me Lord but if I and all of my family and friends are fried in a nuclear blast it won’t much matter whether we are nice guys or not.

Here’s what drives me the craziest: every time we fail to exert our will and our military might we simply embolden these people. Was Osama bin Laden right that we are a “paper tiger” or was he wrong? These are people that want to die for their cause and I believe it is time we oblige them.

Are we simply going to sit here while they get the bomb and nuke us? What happened to Bush’s not allowing the problems to grow before acting on them? Are we just scared little rabbits, just a deer stuck in the headlights? That’s what these nuts think and so far they are right.

I am starting to get scared myself. Scared that my leaders are too weak and too polarized to come together and avert our destruction. The next time these guys hit us it may kills hundreds of thousands of us, maybe millions. Terrorists are going nuclear folks!

The time for talk is over. Iran has stalled and stalled – all the while getting closer to the bomb. And we are so stupid that we fall all over ourselves offering them incentives to not do that which they will do to kill us anyway. Then they can have whatever we have anyway but we’re too scared to see that. Even though today was another deadline for Iran to halt enrichment, all they had to say was no they won’t agree to stop but they’ll talk with us about it some more. And I am sure a lot of liberal diplomats are satisfied that at least they agreed to talk to us like that was some type of victory. Of course they haven’t talked to us about it so far and they won’t ever do so, yet the clock keeps ticking on our lives. We are soooooo dumb.

It is time for us to be men and do what grownup men have to do to ensure the continued existence of the United States of America. Our ancestors who fought so valiantly to free us from Britain and over the years to make us the leading example of freedom and power in the world are turning over in their graves. This is a matter of life and death yet we are still debating why we are in Iraq. One third of this country thinks our government brought down the World Trade Center. More people know who won the last American Idol than can name the nine Supreme Court justices. We are in big trouble.

I say it’s time to teach these people that they no longer can do whatever they want and watch us cower in fear. We started doing that when we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq and they were runnig for the hills but we have squandered that capital. Where once we appeared strong and united we now appear weak and divided. One of the oldest tricks in warfare is to divide and conquer – it’s being done to us.

We won't spy on them, we won't torture them, we won't use the necessary force to beat them. Are we weak or are we just stupid? Only time will tell and we don’t have much of it left.

My Plan To Win The War On Terror

The War on Terror goes on and on and it seems that our leaders never get serious about it nor do the citizens of America, based on recent polls. One third of this nation actually believes that the government took down the World Trade Center so they could go to war for oil – the oil that now costs us $80.00 per barrel. Yikes.

It seems that no matter what the Islamofacists do, no matter how many times they tell us they want to exterminate us, and no matter how many times they try to do so (whether we catch them or not), the people of the West stand by and await annihilation.

A few years ago President Bush said that he would not wait while dangers grow and that he would take whatever actions were necessary to protect us. Today it seems that he has been effectively defanged by his detractors and he is now impotent, unable to take any additional military action against our enemy for fear of the political ramifications that will result.

An angry left-wing media has taken the wind out of his sails with its constant drumbeat of negative reporting. Military decisions are once again being made with an eye towards the way it will be reported world wide. To me this is where the similarities to Vietnam show themselves in Iraq. We are in fact standing by while dangers fester and we will remain so until we are struck again. And with Iran’s march towards becoming a nuclear power when that strike occurs, it will be more devastating that one can imagine. And it may be too late to respond.

A fat and lazy America citizenry, awash in its bounty of food, money, and technology, sits on its smug and superior backside clicking the remote while looking down on the rest of the world - as if all of its problems will never reach them. As the percentage of our population that actually had to fight to protect America’s freedoms sixty years ago decreases, the percentage that have never had to fight for freedom and have no understanding of this country’s place in the world grows. As educators attack and downgrade her history, the mainstream media consistently reports her actions in a negative light. As a result America’s shining light dims and becomes invisible to its citizens and along with it the will to fight and defend her declines.

But while her own people forget America’s history and her standing as the beacon of liberty in the world, others have not forgotten – and they hate us for it. These people do not believe in freedom. They believe in a tyrannical world, one that represses freedoms, oppresses women, restricts speech, and demands a strict adherence to a religious law that is unwavering and cruel. These are people that hate us and our way of life with every fiber of their beings and they seek our destruction.

However we as a group apparently feel superior to them and fail to take them seriously. While they may be backward, fanatical and 7th century savages, they are smart – very smart. They are patient too. They design their diabolical plans years in advance and they stick to them. Worst of all they don’t sit around worrying how the New York Times will describe their latest abominable act. In fact they know that the publicity would actually be favorable if it makes Bush look bad. They simply seek to kill us all in the most painful and horrific way. And half of this country just does not get that.

You would think that with the Islamofacists repression of speech, oppression of women, their promotion of religion, and their general opposition to everything liberals love to defend: atheism, homosexuality, drug use, pornography, abortion, etc. that liberals would be the first ones lining up to wipe these guys out. But amazingly they would rather stand in the corner trembling, whining about what other countries think about us and the horrors of war, rather than use America’s considerable might to fight for the freedoms around the world that they try to force down our throats here.

They don’t seem to understand that when these whack jobs come that liberals are just as much a target as the rest of us – perhaps even more. Unfortunately for them if the terrorist had a choice between targets they’d probably pick liberals first. However the terrorist is not so discriminating – he just wants to kill Americans as a rule, the more the better. So while liberals are running around keeping a count of how many soldiers have died and how many innocent civilians have been killed every day, effectively muting their leader’s ability to use military power, they are helping the terrorists to survive until they develop the weapons to kill us all. This is not 1945 where we were protected by oceans. The world has gotten significantly smaller. They can and will reach out and touch us – hard.

The very NSA wiretapping program that liberals jumped up and down about, crying about domestic spying, may have in fact been the very intelligence tool that uncovered the plot to blow up ten or more trans-Atlantic flights over the ocean, foiling what looks like another Al Qaeda plot to kill thousands. And they would have been the first ones jumping up and down screaming at President Bush had they succeeded. I saw articles blaming Bush for spending too much time fighting in Iraq rather than watching Al Qaeda even after this plot was disrupted. The guy just can’t win. It is clear the will to fight and worse yet, the will to win has become nonexistent.

I think it is time for a bit of realism to enter the fray. We need an effective way to end this problem. Now it’s going to be hard and it’s going to be bloody. But if we are to leave a free nation to our children’s children and their children too we have got to get serious.

Liberals favorite guy Harry Truman was forced to make such a choice in the 1940’s. His choice was to totally demolish a fanatical bloodthirsty culture, one looking for world domination, in order to prevent the deaths of up to a million Americans and end the conflict. Fortunately back them Democrats were grown ups and real men. Not today. Truman had to nuke Japan to bring the carnage to an end because there was nothing else the Japanese would understand – and he knew it. It could not have been easy sentencing so many people to a horrible death. But by doing so he saved countless others. He dealt in the real world unlike his political descendants. They cannot see that we are in the same position today.

Both Germany and Japan were racing to develop their nukes, but we got there first. And we used them to win. Nowadays we already have them but since our educators have painted that grim day as the one where big bad America fried all of those nice Japanese people to our children we are afraid to use them – even to save our own lives. They have painted every other thing we have ever done as a matter of foreign policy in the same negative light. We are now reaping the results. We have a large portion of our citizens believing that America is evil and is the perpetrator of every evil in the world and we stand impotent unable to believe in the righteousness of our cause. In fact the people know so little about our world and our government that they believe a President can predict, prevent, and/or manipulate everything that ever happens in the world – and twist it to meet his own dangerous agenda. Apparently the President of the United States is a more dangerous terrorist than Osama bin Laden in the minds of many. What has happened to my country?

I have a plan to win the war on terror. I am no military man and I cannot give you the nuts and bolts on winning the actual battles. But one thing I do know is how to get real. I would much rather get real than get dead. I am just an average American citizen, well OK, maybe above average, but I have six-point plan that I think can win the war and guarantee our survival as the greatest planet on God’s green Earth. It will take time, determination, guts, and backbone. But if we continue on this path and fail to meet this challenge head on we will all die.

I. Administration Media Blitz

It is time for the administration to fight back against all of the negative publicity it receives over the war. President Bush going out occasionally and giving the same canned speeches using the same canned lines won’t cut it. First it gets old; second the media simply will not report it.

If the President truly believes in the threat (which we know he does) I’d like to see the government stop buying TV time to promote the value of eating fruit, of quitting smoking, etc., and start a media campaign showing the horrors of 9/11, outlining the history of the terrorists in the world, and showing video of their atrocities. The administration gets hammered day after day, hour after hour, and they do nothing to defend themselves. This is a special frustration for conservatives. I cannot understand why we as a people are considered too soft to see video of beheadings, of people jumping out of WTC etc. when that is what those people stand for. We cannot simply stick our heads in the sand. I am sure film of the destruction of Pearl Harbor was not censored but instead shown in a regular basis. Adults need to stand up and start acting like it.

The failure of the government to do this effectively is why the poll numbers on the President’s job approval and the Iraq war are so low. I believe that each and every day the pictures of the planes hitting the towers should be broadcast for all to see so they are constantly reminded of what we are up against. Our collective memory is very short. If CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, and all of the other liberal networks won’t give the true picture somebody better do it. It’s apparently a propaganda war and the Prez is losing. As I previously stated – most people get their news in small sound bites from these liberal networks so if they have no other method of newsgathering than they will believe what they see. I am sure most people know that if a lie is repeated enough it becomes fact in the minds of many. It is working to perfection in the war on terror.

II. Band Together

It is time for Democrats to stop all of their anti-American, anti-war posturing for political gain. They have lost their minds. In the lust for getting the White House back they will do everything in their power to make Bush look foolish and weak, even though it is they that weaken him.

We cannot drop a bomb without them saying it’s too big. Or that we don’t have enough men. Or that we have too many men. Or that we shouldn’t be there at all. Or that we should have taken out Saddam sooner. It goes on and on. Stop.

The Republicans meanwhile act like little old country club gentlemen unwilling to soil their hands in a fight. They sit back and take this nonsense every day while their party and administration gets pummeled and we all hurtle towards our own destruction.

It is time for Republicans to educate the public, to call every Democrat on the carpet so to speak by repeating their outrageous anti-American statements ad-nauseum, They need to trumpet the fact that a) these terrorists are nasty savages that want to kill all of us and they need to be smashed decisively if we expect our children and grandchildren to survive, b) that Democrats are no longer the party of FDR and Harry Truman. They are doing everything they can to keep us from fighting them despite their vaunted concern for the children, and c) Democrats are so dumb they don’t even realize they will die too so how can anyone ever put them in charge when they’re too stupid to prevent their own destruction? And they need to be loud about it. If that doesn’t bring the Democrats into the fold and fighting against these monsters nothing will and they will never win another election.

III. Oil

We cannot continue to proceed as we do now paying billions of dollars for oil to people who seek our destruction. We need a real energy policy that calls for drilling anywhere and everywhere in the United States and its surroundings that will yield as much of our own oil and natural gas as possible.

I am all for conservation, protecting the environment, and all that. But once again Democratic policy ignores reality for the sake of fantasy. Don’t tell me anymore about solar power, wind power, hydrogen powered cars, or the catch-all phrase: alternative energy. When technology like that becomes real and it becomes effective enough to power our vehicles, which allows this country get to work, than we can have that conversation. Until then it is all speculation and fantasy.

Until then we need to drill for as much oil and gas as we can. We can build oil rigs in a much more environmentally friendly way than we once did. We need to build additional refineries to turn that oil into gas. We need to build nuclear reactors to generate electricity more safely and more cleanly than we ever did. We can do that.

I know the environmentalists would be screaming at that one. There is a common misconception that conservatives are against the environment and we don’t care what we do to it. Most of the hunters and fisherman in this world are conservative and as such they have a large stake in the preservation of the planet. They get it. And when it comes to the average person who could be against keeping our planet clean and doing what we can to preserve its resources? Everyone is for that. But you must deal in the reality of the situation. If we continue down this path we simply enrich those who want to kill us and we limit our options against them out of fear of being cut off from oil.

I think it would be healthy if we made the oil producing nations understand that a) we are going to reduce our dependence on you and lower the balances in your bank accounts and b) if you cut us off from your oil we are coming to get it. People are too afraid of that type of manly stance. Apparently we would rather stand idly by while our economy is wrecked. I know it is their resource however 1) they wouldn’t even know what it was if it weren’t for us, 2) they wouldn’t have a clue how to get it out of the ground if it weren’t for us, 3) they all still riding camels if it weren’t for us. We should not feel guilty about guaranteeing our own survival. I am sick of that attitude.

So in dealing with reality we need to make a pact with ourselves: As soon as the technology becomes available to replace petroleum-based fuels and power our cars, etc., we go balls to the wall to change our way of life and replace or retrofit all of our gadgets that require gasoline. But to sit here pining for this magic substitute for gasoline and fossil fuels while our destruction become more and more imminent is suicidal.

IV. New Manhattan Project

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. We need to get together the greatest scientific minds in the country or even on the planet to create a new Manhattan Project. We need to pay them well to provide the necessary incentive for them to get in a room together and develop a suitable substitute for fossil fuels.

When we needed a weapon, specifically an atom bomb, we did that very thing and in the course of eight months such a weapon was developed from scratch. The national interest was at stake and it got done. Today not everyone believes our national interests are at stake so the urgency is not really there. Oh yeah everyone talks about it but the urgency is not there. We cannot sit around waiting for Exxon to develop the very product that will put them out of business. There is too much money to be made for the oil companies to ever look for a way to slit their own throats. Got to get real people. Even after such a technology is invented it will be decades before it is fully implemented. Like the war on terror, what exactly are we waiting for? A disaster?

V. Israel

Somebody please tell me why we are trying to broker a cease fire between Israel and Hezbollah? I think I know the answer. Our left wing media is focusing on the “innocent Lebanese civilians” and “children” being killed rather than the terrorist scum who rain death and destruction on innocent Jews. I won’t get into their reasons for it because I don’t understand it.

But here we are with our ally, a perfect proxy for American power, taking on the terrorist proxy of Iran and Syria – the perpetrators of most of the violent “insurgency” in Iraq. Instead of the U.S. backing and re-supplying Israel, and keeping the U.N. and the rest of the world off their backs while they slaughter terrorists, we a brokering a cease fire – effectively castrating them and ourselves. Why? It’s all because a bunch of whiny liberals want wars to be fought without violence and bloodshed and they don’t like such nastiness on their TV screens. Figure that one out.

Sorry. Lebanon shouldn’t be allowing Hezbollah to flourish in their country and Israel certainly should not allow them to fire rockets into their cities. If Hezbollah were in Canada lobbing rockets into Detroit I believe we’d be ticked off. Though, with liberals you never know. They’d be moaning and wondering why they hate us. Again the inability to be realistic about the situation paralyzes the part of the world that is for peace and freedom and causes them to tolerate situations that are hazardous to its health. Let Israel crush those animals once and for all.

VI. Crush Them

It is time to identify those terror-supporting states that President Bush spoke of years ago by making a list and checking it twice. Then knock the stuffing out of them. I understand that the loss of ground troops is distasteful to most people – myself included. But again we must deal in reality.

First of all we rule the skies and the waters. It is time to use our Air Force and our Navy to remind these tin-horn nut jobs of who we are. Are we just supposed to sit here and wait for Iran and North Korea to fire nuclear tipped missiles at us? That is your 2006 Democratic Party platform people!

You see the main problem we have is that nobody fears us anymore. We have become so concerned with every one liking us that we don’t care when they hate us. I’ll explain that statement: we so want the Europeans, the Russians, the Chinese, and the Arab street to love us that we will allow them to crap on us and threaten us at will. But when we appear to curry their favor they actually are disgusted by it and hate us even more. Basically we cannot win so why do we bother? I’ll take their fear and respect over their love any day. We’ll all live longer that way. Again we must point to liberals who hate their own country for being so powerful and absolutely forbid us to exert any of that power even if it means we will die.

I personally do not care whether anyone loves us. What I do care about is that they leave us alone and under no circumstance will they ever consider striking us. I want them to know that to do so will result in their getting hit back much harder and that their own continued existence is called into in question. In the case of an ideology where dying for their cause is a good thing to fail to project that aura is suicidal. I am quite certain that after we dropped the bomb in ’45 that not many people were considering attacking the United States again. It took decades for anyone to consider it again and after numerous exhibitions of weakness by us the attacks have grown more vicious as the terrorists became emboldened by our lack of response.

I say enough. Why do we sit here and wait to be hit? OK so we don’t want to nuke Iran or North Korea and kill everyone. But tell me why we haven’t hit their nuclear facilities yet? So by destroying some of them we won’t get them all but we’ll set Iran back decades in its development of nukes. We already know where North Korea’s are – hit them. When they rebuild - hit ‘em again.

When that little pot-bellied North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Il, had his missiles sitting on the launch pad for days, why didn’t we wipe them out? We had Aegis cruisers sitting off their coast that could have done so easily. Again I don’t care what the rest of the world thinks, I want to live – don’t you? Why are we so afraid?

And can anyone tell me why they are against a missile defense shield? Are we going to wait around until they launch on us and we miss with the primitive system we have now before we get serious about it? Hell if we aren’t going to wipe out their facilities now at least take away the threat. We mustn’t wait until it’s too late. Missile defense, space based lasers – whatever works people.

The same half-hearted thing is true for Iraq. I understand that we didn’t want to destroy the whole country and kill everyone in it so we thought we should exhibit some restraint. However in that part of the world restraint is considered weakness. If Iran had to wonder whether we’d come for them because of their interference and support of the insurgency in Iraq, would things be as bad as they are? If we simply smashed the resistance at first wouldn’t that have removed the incentive for subsequent resistance and made Iran consider supporting the insurgents before doing so?

And why don’t we drop some bombs in Tehran as a thank you for all the wonderful gifts they’ve sent our way in Iraq? We’ve got a few not-so-improvised explosive devices we could show them. And we know they’re also fighting with Hezbollah against Israel. What’s wrong with standing up for our allies with a couple of well placed laser guided missiles anyway? We went to war twice in Europe to defend our allies. What’s the point of being America’s ally if you can’t count on them to back you up anymore?

People have forgotten that it is OK to use your force and your power when you know your cause is just. Our cause has always been just and too many people here forget that. We just freed 50 million people from tyranny and oppression and you would think we were the world’s biggest villain. We did not make them American “subjects” and we didn’t take their oil. (The same Democrats that screamed we went to war for oil are now screaming at Bush that we aren’t getting enough oil from Iraq).

You know whether Saddam had WMDs or not, freeing those people was a good enough reason to go. It was good enough reason to fight World War II so it’s good enough a reason to fight World War III. To be safe you have to defeat those who pine for your destruction – it’s a good plan. You need to use force to do so and we shouldn’t be ashamed of that. We will also need force to remain free and we should not be ashamed of that either.

This thing is not going to go away despite our wishes that it does. Political correctness as promoted by liberals in American society is nice little toy for them, but when practiced around the world relating to national security and dealing with the people who abhor you it is a dangerous thing. It is time to forget being PC, get serious, and win this thing so we can all get back to the job of living happily, prospering, and progressing.

When the schoolyard bully keeps hitting you can either curl up in the fetal position and hope he doesn’t kill you or you can stand up and punch him square in the nose. I vote for the latter over the former. How about you?

Eating Its Own

If anyone out there was still confused about the position of the Democratic Party on the War on Terror yesterday (and Lord knows they work hard to keep you from being sure about their true positions on everything) the fog should now be lifted.

With the defeat of incumbent Senator Joseph Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic Primary last night their position is crystal clear. They are the party of retreat and appeasement. They are the party of fantasy with no basis in reality. They are the party of ostriches forever putting their heads in the sand and ignoring history and the world around them.

A political neophyte, based solely on his anti-war stance, has bested an incumbent Senator in a party primary because said incumbent agreed with the President’s decision to fight terrorism around the world. Lieberman actually had the audacity to want to fight to defend his country! Just imagine, in today’s world that makes him an unsuitable candidate for the Democrats in Connecticut even though he voted the party line in virtually every other area.

This result should show every American that this party is absolutely unserious about the dangers we face. Of course I probably should not be surprised since I heard of a recent survey that said 33% of the country thinks 9/11 was an inside job. I bet if we redid the survey we’d find of the 33% who felt that way, 99% of them were Democrats. These people are just nuts. I do not understand how moderate, middle class, working Democrats can even consider voting for these guys anymore.

Oh I know Democrats believe the Republicans are racist homophobes who only offer tax cuts to the rich and only the Democrats can reverse the trend and tax the hell out of them and give their money to the poor and oppressed.

Oh I know Democrats think Republicans are heartless monsters who want to take away entitlements from people and they don’t care about the children and only the Democrats have big enough hearts to redistribute people’s income to the less fortunate.

Oh I know Democrats believe Republicans lie about the impending collapse of Social Security and they believe only Democrats will protect their rights to collect it.

Oh I know that Republicans are neocon warmongers making mistake after mistake in the prosecution of the war and George W. Bush is the worst person to ever set foot on this planet.

But what I know most of all is that the Democratic Party no longer has the backbone to stand up and use force to defend us from the enemy – Islamofacists who have pledged to kill us and have made significant strides towards that goal. With all that is going on in the world and with all the statements made by Mullahs and Imans and every other Muslim whack job trying to get a nuke and shove it up our you know what, how is it that one of our political parties would just as soon disengage and pretend the threat does not exist?

It is apparent that one political party would like to blame 9/11 and all the other acts of war committed against us by the terror masters over the years on the U.S. itself and they actually believe that if we just roll up in the fetal position and stay home that they will leave us alone. The position is ludicrous and it’s gonna get us all killed.

None of the aforementioned problems or disagreements will amount to a hill of beans if we do not destroy the Islamofacists before they kill us. There will be no Social Security, no tax code, nothing! People have got to wake up.

Right now the GOP is the worst of two evils but they are the only ones who will fight to protect America. The pacifism and appeasement that comes forth from so many Americans enrages me. That is one of the reasons that the Republicans have waged the War on Terror so poorly. They are more concerned about damaging the sensitivities of the left in the country and how the war will be reported than they are with smashing the enemy. We fight with one hand tied behind our back because we apparently would like to wage war without killing anyone or blowing anything up. I say start smashing things and maybe the whackos will learn not to mess with us.

For all Republicans out there: you had better get out and vote this November!

For all moderate Democrats: if you want to live you better vote Republican too.

Will Liberals Ever Get Their Eyes On The Ball?

Enough already with the Mel Gibson thing. The liberal media is just going on and on about it. I will concede that Mel is a buffoon and is a poor representative for Catholicism (though as a Roman Catholic I do not believe his brand of Catholicism is the same as mine). He may very well be anti-Semitic, an alcoholic, whatever – but enough.

Everyone is piling on this guy and you would think it is as if Jesus Christ himself had spoken those repulsive words and there was nothing else of significance going on in the world. But with all of the commentary, the majority of which is extremely negative, I have some questions:

Why is it so damn important anyway? Who is Mel Gibson? Outside of his acting abilities and his capabilities as a director he is just another guy. I personally don’t care about him or his opinions on Jews, the economy, war, or anything else. He puts his pants on just like I do – they just cost a lot more than mine do. It’s just like the Susan Sarandon’s and Mike Farrell’s of the world – when I need tips on acting I may call you, for anything else I don’t care what you say because I know as much if not more than you!

Where were all of the namby-pamby righteous little liberal journalists with their outrage when President Clinton was screwing around in the Oval Office and taking advantage of Monica Lewinsky? Or Paula Jones? Or Juanita Broderick? We could go on and on. When he suborned perjury from Lewinsky and then committed it himself under oath? The President of the United States for crying out loud! He not only got a pass he is kept up on a pedestal around the world and incredibly he remains the face of the Democratic Party. He is loved!

Where was all of the righteousness when Ted Kennedy drove his car into the water in a drunken stupor, escaped to save his own pathetic skin, left a young woman in the car to die, and then failed to report it for 24 hours while he tried to come up with an alibi? This guy is now put out there as a revered leader of the Democratic Party who has the gall to sit in Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings lecturing the likes of Robert Bork, John Roberts and Samuel Alito on integrity? And no one in the media calls him on it? Sorry out to lunch.

Where is all of the Jew loving media when Muslim terrorists worldwide are raining death and bloodshed upon them for no earthly reason other than they are Jews? The media today will simply focus on the death of civilians (if they are indeed civilians because how do you know anymore?) caused by the Israeli military with nary a comment on the death of innocent Israeli civilians from indiscriminate rocket fire, rather than condemn the Islamic animals. How is it that they are totally outraged and ready to condemn and blacklist Gibson for his anti-Semitic statements (which in reality harm no one but him) while Jews die at the hands of savages? Where is their great defense of the Jews and repudiation of the terrorists when this going on? Nonexistent.

How about the Clinton’s selling stay-overs at the White House allowing this scumbag and that to sleep in the Lincoln bedroom? In Abraham Lincoln’s bedroom? Virtually ignored.

How about Al Gore and his “no controlling authority” nonsense when he deliberately violated campaign finance laws at the Buddhist temple? Forgotten.

How about Hillary Clinton’s discovery of the Rose Law Firm’s billing records in her attic after maintaining for so long she didn’t have them and what about the $100 grand she made by investing $1,000 in a questionable futures transaction that stunk of insider trading? Down the memory hole.

Who can forget the courageous reporters who completely investigated John Kerry’s military records and made every effort to corroborate the claims of the Swift Vote veterans to ensure Kerry was who he said he was? Didn’t happen.

I could go on and on but I already know the answers. The fact is Mel is not only a fool, he is a Christian conservative and that automatically means that in the media you are held out as an example of human fallibility each and every time you screw up. If anyone dares to believe in God, specifically Jesus Christ (because the Muslim god Allah is part of the “religion of peace” which is the one religion liberals like and always defend), and also likely votes Republican, they will be vilified and destroyed when they commit a human error. And yes that is what this is.

The left leaning media does not understand Christians
